If you’ve recently noticed the “water filter” warning light on your LG refrigerator then it is likely time to replace the filter. Sometimes you might also notice that the water pressure is getting lower and it is taking more time to fill your cup. This is because sediment clogs up the filter so the water has trouble getting through it. I changed the filter and the light will not stop blinking. I have helded the button beside the light and nothing happens.

I had to reset the filter button, first it resets the light, then you have to do it again and the filter should reset. I had to do it a few times.

I’ve replaced the water filter with appropriate #LT700P and the water stream seems OK, however the blinking light on the left front door does not stop blinking after I’ve pressed the front button numerous times for several seconds, (beyond the recommended 3 secs.). I’ve also removed the new filter & replaced, as prescribed, but no change.
HELP?

Press the Water Filter and Express Freeze buttons at the same time for three seconds.

I went through this and pressed the reset with no luck. When I kept the door open and pressed the rest it worked. Don’t know why.

Water filter indicator flashing. Pretty sure it has not been six months since I replaced the filter. Then replace filter today 5/15/17 and water filter indicator light still flashing. What’s going on?

I think there is a way to reset the flashing filter light. It goes off every 6 months independent of the filter change. Just google the model number and “reset filter light” and it’ll have something.

hold the the button in until sound comes the hold for 3-5 sec the light will go out it worked on mine.

I had to hold both the ‘change filter’ and ‘express freeze’ at the same time. The buttons are stacked on the panel.

I have replaced my clean water filter and the light on the door continues to blink. I replaced the new filter with a new filter and the light continues to blink. Please help!!!

Sometimes you need to reset the filter light as it doesn’t know when you replaced the filter. It is generally holding one of the front buttons for a couple of seconds. Post your model number and we can help look it up if necessary.

On my model, LG says to hold the express freeze button for 3 seconds to reset the water filter light, but that didn’t work. I had to hold the air filter reset button for 3 seconds instead.

LFXS24663 – Changed the water filter and that’s working fine. But the water filter light on the door won’t stop blinking. It stops after being pressed for about 15 seconds, but so do all the other lights. Open the door, and it’s flashing again.

Just changed water and fresh air filter. I cannot get rid of the word “replace” under the fresh air symbol. I have held the fresh air button for longer than 3 seconds. Any ideas? Model LMXS27626 french door refrig. Also held down the water filter for more than 3 seconds. Thk you

I had to open the door to ensure my change filter light came on. Next I closed the door. I then immediately pushed both the words to water filter and express freeze for roughly 5 seconds. I heard a beeping sound and let go after the words were no longer lit.

People keep saying to press the express freeze button, but I don’t have that button. Not only is there a 0 lit up indicating the filter needs to be replaced, which I have done, but now the light where the water comes out will not go off.

If you are still having this problem, try putting the fridge in display mode (see manual) and then take back out of display mode. This worked for getting rid of the flashing light, but the light button doesn’t turn on the exterior light, so I think that button is broken…at least the flashing stopped.

we just changed the water filter on our LG French door refrigerator, model LMXS27626. It is still telling us to change the filter., also I noticed in the last few days, there is mositure on the items in the fridge, and the shelves.??

LG refrigerators are now using inverter compressors which are overheating if temperature gets too hot. They also suffer from blockages in freezer evaporator

Scroll far down on this scroll and you’ll find the solution from a smart poster: press the WORDS under the flashing light signals for 3-5 seconds and the lights will go off. LG doesn’t make clear what they mean by “Press the Filter Button.” There is no button on my model.
